Project Opportunity

Quick Facts:

  • 300 total students, about 25 - 35 are pregnant/parenting
  • 2 graduations per year (February and June)
  • Bus transportation provided
  • Special Education services (Resource Level)
  • Child Development and Life Planning Classes with an emphasis on individual needs
  • 4 class periods per day between 8:00 AM – 2:50 PM, limited homework
  • ESOL Courses available for all levels
  • Access to subsidized County Child Care resources (no childcare center on campus)
  • Mountain View Foundation Scholarships for college/job training
  • Monthly diaper distribution
  • Access to Academy Courses (schedule permitting)
  • Mentors for every student
  • Monthly Lunch and Learn Series (i.e. health, relationships, child support)
  • Social Worker, and Psychologist support
  • Public Health Nurse support
  • Career Center:  assessments, internships, employment, training, college
  • Connection to community resources including health, financial and mental health services
  • Support from partners and the community (i.e. emergency needs)
