Project Opportunity provides students with . . .

  • Individually tailored Child Development and Life Planning classes
  • Access to subsidized County Child Care resources (no childcare center on campus)
  • Mountain View Scholarships, with a scholarship unique for Project Opportunity students
  • Diapers, Wipes, and Baby Supplies provided
  • Opportunities to collaborate with each other every day in their own advisory period
  • A schedule where classes meet daily, allowing for prenatal and well baby appointments
  • Support they need during difficult times
  • Access to Academy Courses (schedule permitting)
  • Mentors for every student
  • Thanksgiving meals
  • Support from the Mountain View community
  • Book of the Month Club where students receive a new book every month 
  • Mom Squad support for Project Opportunity parties, socials, and other activities
  • Stable Families, Thriving Futures (A weekly program aimed to improve the health, educational, and socioeconomic outcomes for local expectant teen and young adult parents. )
  • Special events where children and parents are invited into the school 
  • Social Worker and Psychologist support
  • Public Health Nurse support
  • Career Center:  assessments, internships, employment, training, college
  • Connection to community resources including health, financial and mental health services
  • Support from partners and the community (i.e. emergency needs)
  • 7 class periods per day between 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM, limited homework
  • ESOL support available for all levels
  • Support from an on-sight literacy specialist
  • Opportunities to participate in programs such as Theater Without Boarders, Global Classroom, Exciting Clubs, and more!
